Corporate Sailing Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions pertain to corporate team-building events at Team Paradise Sailing. The effective date of the general terms and conditions is determined by the initial 50% deposit date.

  1. Corporate sailing events are customized to fit the needs and desires of the corporation; however, each sailboat will accommodate a maximum of four people plus one instructor/skipper provided by Team Paradise.

  2. Booking must be made thirty (30) days in advance with a 50% deposit.

  3. Payment in full is required fourteen (14) days prior to the event date.

  4. A cancelation fee equal to 25% of the total cost of the event will be assessed if the corporation cancels within fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled event.

  5. Team Paradise reserves the right to cancel the event if sailing conditions are deemed unsafe due to weather-related conditions such as sustained wind speed over 20 knots, thunderstorms, tropical storms, or hurricanes. The event will be canceled due to an “Act of God,” the corporation will be refunded the total contract amount minus an administrative fee of 25%.

  6. If a tropical storm watch/warning or hurricane watch/warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Biscayne Bay area within seven (7) days of the scheduled event, the event will be canceled due to an “Act of God,” and the corporation will be refunded the total contract amount minus an administrative fee of 25%.

  7. Once the National Hurricane Center cancels a tropical storm watch/ warning or hurricane watch/warning for the Biscayne Bay area, Team Paradise requires a seven-day window to mobilize its fleet of boats. If the event has been scheduled to take place within the seven-day period, the event will be canceled due to an “Act of God,” and the corporation will receive a full refund of the contract amount minus a 25% administrative fee.
