Report from the US Sailing Center - City of Miami Parks Department Sailing
Biscayne Bay, Wednesday, December 8th, 2021. Today was the final episode of the year for the US Sailing Center - City of Miami Parks Department Sailing program. It was a make-up session for Coral Gate Park, their 2nd visit for the year.
It was a nearly calm day, and we barely had enough wind to slowly make it out and around Island A. The kids had a lot of fun and it reminded me of summer camp. They were jumping and splashing, diving into the water. It’s nice when it’s deep enough to do that. We had both RS Ventures out plus the Boston Whaler.
Thank you US Sailing Center for the opportunity to serve. Someone mentioned that the program ought to be expanded and run the entire school year. I like that idea and there are a lot of kids out there. Let’s do it!
