REPORT FROM THE US SAILING CENTER - CITY OF MIAMI PARKS DEPARTMENT SAILING
Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Great to be back on the water with the City Sailing program. This time it was kids from the nearby Peacock Park who came for a visit. I was thrilled that ten kids showed up instead of the seven or five that we have had in the past.
We are a bit spoiled with all the top-notch volunteers who come to help on a regular basis. It makes everything so much easier. It also opens up the door for bringing on more students and possibly more sailing dates. Take a look at the pictures and video below and see for yourself. The kids are so happy to come and sail with us. We could easily accommodate 15-kids each time we go out. The need for our service is huge in Miami-Dade County. No wonder I feel like we are leaving kids behind when we have the room, the equipment, and the staff. We should do better than this!
