Team Paradise is honored to work for the US Sailing Center Miami (USSC), which provides the ultimate Sailing Sailing Summer Camp experience for children in Miami, our Magic City. Beginning on July 22nd, we will have kids from twelve different parks. Each day, campers from other parks in the city will be brought. USSC will serve approximately 150 kids in a couple of weeks.
This blog will be updated daily, so check in often and follow our journey.

Ten campers and two counselors arrived for fun in the sun on Biscayne Bay. None had sailed before, and none had ever been on the Bay. The weather forecast called for a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. As always, we stayed close to shore. We eventually ended up at the Sister Banks, close to Viscaya and Brickell. Everyone took the opportunity to sail, swim, and play on the foam mattress. As the thunderstorms came closer, about seven miles away, we lifted anchor and headed towards home. We all made it back to port ahead of schedule.
The boats used were two RS Fevas, two RS Ventures, and our propeller-less safety boat.

Fifteen campers and two counselors arrived well-prepared for fun in the sun on Biscayne Bay. None had sailed before, and none had ever been on the Bay. Fourteen campers and one counselor arrived well-prepared for fun in the sun on Biscayne Bay. Some were familiar faces since they had sailed with us last Summer. The weather forecast was similar to yesterday’s, except for more wind. Again, we ended up at the Sister Banks. Everyone took the opportunity to sail, swim, and play on the foam mattress. No thunderstorms were approaching, but we returned to port early so the kids could have lunch.
The boats used were one RS Fevas, two RS Ventures, and our propeller-less safety boat.

Jose Marti Park July 25
Today, ten campers and two counselors from the iconic Jose Marti Park came to play. We filled both of our RS Ventures with campers and staff. The counselors rode in our propeller-less safety boat, and a few campers claimed to have low water comfort. Our destination was the Sisterbanks by Viscaya. We like that spot because it's near us, it has clean water, and the sea state is nearly flat in Easterly wind.
There was no evidence of anyone with low water comfort. The kids played hard and fair. Towards the end, they needed to refuel. Pat Downey, the Execution Director of the US Sailing Center, ordered pizza from Cazola’s, which was delivered by the time we returned to port. It made it a perfect summer camp day!

Today could possibly be the best day of the week despite the group of ten campers and three counselors arriving one hour late due to a transportation issue. We used two RS Ventures for seven campers. Our propeller-less safety boat had two campers, three counselors, and a couple of our staff members. We returned to the Sistersbanks by the Viscaya. Beautiful day!
