City Sailing with Shenandoah Park (E-4)

Report from the US Sailing Center - City of Miami Parks Department Sailing

Kids from Shenandoah Park came to sail with us on On Wednesday, October 13th for the fourth and final time in 2021. The conditions were near perfect and the kids had a lot of fun. This time It was Marite and me who were the only coaches. We each sailed an RS Venture. Marite headed up the all-female team while I was assigned to the boys. There were seven kids in total, plus the counselor.

The group arrived at the US Sailing Center just in time for our 4 PM departure. We made several tacks on our way north to the Viscaya sandbar. Kids seemed to love the sailing and they sure enjoyed splashing around at the sandbar. The group was back on the bus sharply at 6 PM.

Coach Marite with the kids from Shenandoah, Councilor Fabian is hanging on to the bow (wearing a blue shirt).
